Mona Dukess in her Larchmont studio

Mona Dukess has been exhibiting in museums, academic venues and galleries for over 30 years. She studied with Budd Hopkins, the late New York Abstract Expressionist painter, and works in collaboration with Paul Wong, Master paper artist and Artistic Director of Dieu Donne Paper Mill, NYC.

Always fascinated by new processes, she works in a variety of media. Currently she is producing archival inkjet prints which are created from details of her own experiments with photography.  Focusing on small areas of light reflected onto and through the surfaces of water, she invites the viewer to witness the captured image as a transformation in scale.  The natural world can seen in unexpected yet universal ways, both mysterious and familiar.

She is further honing her skills working in collaboration with Henry Mandell, New York based Digital Artist.  She has been reviewed by the Boston Globe (Kate McQuaid), Provincetown Arts Magazine (Chris Busa), Provincetown Banner (Susan Rand Brown).  Her work has also been featured in solo exhibitions at The Broome Street Gallery in New York City, Kobalt Gallery, Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill and The Provincetown Group Gallery.
